Between 2007 and 2008, the township acquired properties and conservation easements in a collection of adjacent lots totaling approximately 70 acres south of Beith Road. Consisting mainly of woodland, the township has been working to restore the native plant community by removing invasive species such as garlic mustard, Dame’s rocket, buckthorn, honeysuckle, and Oriental bittersweet. A paved parking lot has been developed at the entrance off of South Bowgren Circle.
