Leave No Child Inside

“Let’s give kids a break from the computer and TV, and reconnect them with nature.”

— Richard Louv, Last Child in the Woods

LNCI_icon_pageLeave No Child Inside is an initiative by Chicago Wilderness* which joins the national movement sparked by the publication of Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv, sounding an urgent call for adults to lead children back into nature.

This campaign aims to develop generations of children who care enough for nature to protect it.  It seeks to nurture their interest in the natural world and reverse the alarming trend of weakening connections between children and the outdoors.

*Chicago Wilderness is a consortium of over 260 nonprofit and Corporate Council members (including Campton Township) working together to restore local nature and improve the quality of life for all living things by protecting the lands and waters on which we all depend. http://www.chicagowilderness.org/
